At Tim Horton's with Dad

At Tim Horton's with Dad~ 16"x 20", Acrylic on canvas, Dawn Langstroth ©2016

One of my happiest memories was going to Theatre camp in grade 9. I would wake up in the morning absolutely exhilarated to start my day. My dad was kind enough to drive the carpool and before picking up my new theatre friends, the two of us would stop at Tim Horton’s for breakfast. My painting “At Tim Horton’s with Dad” was our breakfast order. Sitting across the table from my dad, I didn’t know then what an indelible impression the experience of this time with him would have on my life. He had the ability to make me feel as though I was the only other person in the world. My dad made me feel I belonged.
